Who We Are
HappyJack is a private membership platform for creative professionals including photographers, models, makeup artists and hair stylists.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you use HappyJack, we may collect the following information.
Account Information
When you register we may collect your full name, email address, password (encrypted), profession, location, date joined, membership type and membership status.
Profile Information
Information you choose to provide including your biography, profile photograph, portfolio images, videos, portfolio website, social media links, experience, creative interests, availability, professional specialisms and travel preferences.
Only information you choose to make public will appear on your member profile.
Membership Information
If you purchase a membership we record your membership plan, monthly or annual subscription, renewal dates, payment status and membership history.
HappyJack does not store your full payment card details. Payments are securely processed by Stripe.
Messages
If you use private messaging we store messages sent, messages received, images shared within messages, date and time of messages, delivery status and read status.
Messages are private between participating members. However, messages may be reviewed where a member reports abuse, illegal activity is suspected, or we are legally required to do so.
Community Activity
We record activity such as comments, appreciations (likes), reports, profile updates, login history and notification preferences.
Technical Information
We automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, time zone, login dates, pages visited and referral source. This helps us improve platform performance and security.

Private messages are only visible to conversation participants. HappyJack does not routinely monitor private conversations.
However we reserve the right to investigate messages where abuse is reported, illegal activity is suspected, platform security is threatened, or required by law.
Member Safety
Members communicate and arrange collaborations independently. HappyJack does not supervise or monitor meetings between members.

We take security seriously. Measures include:

Your Rights

Deleting Your Account
You may request deletion of your account at any time. Deleting your account will remove your public profile, remove access to the platform, cancel your membership (where applicable) and remove personal information where legally permitted.
Some information may be retained where required for legal obligations, fraud prevention, financial records or ongoing disputes.
Children's Privacy
HappyJack is intended for adults. Members must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 may be removed.
International Data Transfers
Some trusted providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR.
Marketing Communications
If you choose to receive marketing updates we may send product news, feature updates, community announcements, events and platform improvements.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link or your account settings. Important membership and account emails cannot be unsubscribed from while your account remains active.

We may update this Privacy & Data Policy from time to time. Where changes are significant we will notify members through email, platform notifications and website announcements.
